LBHM began its journey in 2018.

  • Whenever an Early Bird Offer is announced in our brochure, the discount mentioned is 100% genuine and applicable as stated. There are no hidden conditions or misleading claims.
  • Similarly, if a Late Fee is applicable after a specified registration deadline, the same is clearly mentioned in advance, along with the applicable dates and fee structure.

System of Play

The Tournament will be conducted as per latest FIDE Laws of Chess & FIDE Swiss System with 09 rounds.

Time Control

Open Tournament:
90 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game.

Below 1700 Tournament:
30 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game.

Blitz Tournament:
03 Minutes plus 02 second increment from move 1 for entire game.

Rapid Tournament:
15 Minutes plus 05 second increment from move 1 for entire game.

Default Time / Walk Over Time

  • Open Tournament: 30 Minutes
  • Below 1700 Tournament: 30 Minutes
  • Blitz Tournament: 03 minutes
  • Rapid Tournament: 15 minutes

Tie Break

  1. Buchholz Cut 1
  2. Buchholz
  3. SB
  4. Direct Encounter
  5. Greater Number of Wins, including forfeit points

Cash Prize

Cash prizes will not be shared. Only the highest eligible prize will be awarded.

If a player qualifies for the same cash prize in multiple categories, the prize from the main prize list will be considered first.

Electronic Devices

All electronic items including wrist watches, all type of watches, will not be allowed in the tournament hall.

Eligibility

All rated & unrated players.

Eligibility for Below 1700 Tournament

  1. Any rated player whose rating has not crossed 1699 in last 36 months prior to start of the tournament.
  2. Any Unrated Player is eligible to participate.
  3. Players who finished first or second in any rating restricted FIDE tournament will not be eligible to play in any rating restricted tournament for one year from the date of such achievement.

For 2026–27 is compulsory for all Indian participants.

In case of dispute, the decision of Chief Arbiter shall be final & binding for all.

Players found guilty of violating the above rules at any stage of the tournament will be withdrawn from the tournament, and the entry fee will NOT be refunded.

  • Withdrawal on or before 20th Oct 2026: 25% refund
  • Withdrawal on or before 31st Oct 2026: 50% refund
  • Withdrawal on or after 1st Nov 2026: NO REFUND
